Amateur football clubs in Greece are struggling to survive as traditional sponsorship avenues have dried up.
One amateur club in the town of Larissa has taken an unconventional approach and has found a sponsor in the form of a local bordello owner. The Voukefalas club now wears pink practice jerseys adorned with the brothel’s logo.
This follows an off-season where many players from the Greek Super League were shipped abroad to cut expenses.
